Bücker Bü 133 C Jungmeister

The original 160 hp Siemens Sh 14A-4 engine has been replaced with a 185 hp Warner.

This Bucker was shipped to the US on the airship Hinderburg. It was flown at the 1937 Cleveland Air Races by the Romanian aerobatic pilot Ales Papana. Mile Murphy used it to win the 1938 and 1940 American Aerobatic Championships. Beverly "Bevo" Howard bought it and won the 1946 and 1946 Championships.

Bevo Howard did an airshow in my home town of Marianna FL, I think it in the early 60s. My Dad propped this Bucker for Bevo. Dad said the trailing edge of the prop was very sharp. He had to ware gloves.

Bevo was killed October 17, 1971, while performing an air show at Greenville, NC in this aircraft.
