In 1938 this aircraft was assigned to Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C., USA. After WW II started, MM367, was seized at Bolling Field, Washington, D.C.. In response the Italians seized a Staggerwing assigned to the US Military Attaché in Rome. The Staggerwing was transferred to the Regia Aeronautica on March 22, 1942. It was Beech YC-43 Traveler, serial 39-141, c/n 297. Used by Italian AF as MM504.
