Two build, this and 44-28059
Fuel transport glider, carried 764 gals. The prototype, 44-28059 made thirteen flight with pilot Alfred Reitherman, on the last he was killed after failing to recover from a spin. The one in this photo, 44-28060, made 19 flights, the project was abandon after the end of WW II.
