1952 Goodyear GA-22A Drake, N5516M

225 hp Continental E-225-8

Only one GA-22A was built. The previous Drake, GA-22 NX5515M, was powered by a 190 hp Continental E-185. NX5515M was disassembled at the factory.

N5516M was used by Goodyear up until the early 1960s, then obtained by the EAA Museum.

The following photo was taken at the EAA Museum in 1974.

This aircraft has been restored and painted with its original yellow and black paint scheme. It is now on display at the MAPS Air Museum at the Akron-Canton Airport.
