1933 Hammond 100 Sportster NC13533 sn 203

The Hammond 100 "Sportster" was powered by a 100hp Kinner K-5. This aircraft was originally know as the Parks P-1H. Aerofile states that there were 7 produced. I could only find N-numbers for 4. The last one on this list is still on the FAA records.

The Parks P-1H was type certificated on 11-23-1932 under Group 2 Memos number 2-428. Joe P. Juptner's book indicates that the name was changed to Hammond 100 on 1-23-1933.

Dean B. Hammond purchased the manufacturing right to the Parks P-1H from the Detroit Aircraft Corporation after it declared bankruptcy in 1931. Hammond made some modifications and sold it as the Hammond 100 Sporter.
