T-6G, Portuguese Air Force 1737

In 1947 Portugal received 28 T-6 directly from North American. In the mid-1950s Harvard Mk IIIs were obtained from the Royal Navy British, and in 1969 the Harvard Mk Il and Mk III from the Air Force of South Africa. These were converted to T-6Gs by General Aeronautical Equipment Workshops (OGMA) at Alverca. They were used in the conflicts with Angola, Mozambique and Guinea. They were retired from service in 1978.
