1912 Parmelee

Modified Wright Model B by Philip O Parmelee of Matherson MI.

Parmelee appeared in an early silent film A Dash Through the Clouds. Parmelee completed this film and it was released 23 days after his death on June 24, 1912

Parmelee became the first pilot to transport commercial cargo. On November 7, 1910 he flew a 100 lbs package of silk from Dayton to Columbus, Ohio.

Parmelee was killed at an air show in Yakima, Washington, on June 1, 1912.
