In 1942 this aircraft was converted to D17R with the installation of a Wright R-975. It was then impressed as a UC-43K, 42-107277. It was crashed while in service and not repaired.
There is a D17S sn 164 in the FAA records, NC50958. Registration issued 4-4-1948 and cancel 11-19-1948.
