Acquired by the Italian Air Force in 1949 as a transport aircraft (MM61802).
Used by the Italian Air Force to fly from Rome to Mogadishu, Somalia. On Feb 21, 1954 it was damaged beyond repair due to a collision with a cement truck on landing at Mogadishu. It was abandoned on the air field.
Only one was built
This aircraft made a brief appearance taxiing in the 1953 movie Roman Holiday staring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn.
