1927 Lucien Chauvière Gyroptère

Lucien Chauvière developed a methos of building laminater wood propellers. In 1908 he built a 15 ft propeller for the Clement-Bayard airship which set a speed record for airships. Louis Blériot used a Chauvière propeller for his flight across the English Channel. Over 100,000 Chauvière propellers were produced during the First World War.
