Information from Johan Visschedijk
Initially it was a Liberator B.Mk.II bomber (serialed AL504), although delivered in 1942 without armament. Under the designation LB-30 Liberator C.MK.II and named Commando, it was used as the personal transport of the British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. Between September 1943 and March 1944 it was modified to the pictured configuration. It reappeared with a longer fuselage and a single fin and rudder, similar to the USN RY-3 transport version of the PB4Y-2 Privateer.
Lost at sea March 27 1945 on flight from UK to Canada.
