VP-13; code 13-P-12. Used as a pattern aircraft for rear hull blister gun emplacements installed in place of the sliding hatches. Also used for trials of another vertical tail/rudder design (VP-101) destroyed at mooring by Japanese fighters Olongapo, Cavite, Philippines Dec 12, 1941.
