1937 Fairchild Model 45-A N16876

This was the 12th Fairchild Model 45-A. The Wright R-760 engine has been replaced with a Pratt & Whitney R-985. Also the cabin windows have been enlarged and the fuselage fabric cover has been replaced with sheet metal.

This airstrip was so narrow, When I landed, I had to shut the Mooney Mite off, get out, turn it around, and start it back up to taxi to the other end of the runway.
