Redesignated XP-51B, NA-101 Retained by North American Aviation for Merlin engine installation. 5-12-43 Eglin Field. 5-27-43 Wright Field Materiel Command. Jun 10, 1943 Bartow, FL 343rd Base Unit, Fighter (RTU). 6-17-43 Hillsboro AAF. Damaged on landing at Bartow AAF, FL Apr 13, 1944 (this just happened to be a Friday). Surveyed at Hillsboro AAF Jul 28, 1944.
