This cub, NC25806, stopped at Tracy for fuel May 6, 2006. Just as it stopped at the fuel pump a gust of wind turned it up on its nose. The engine had stop before this happened. Fortunately the prop was in the horizontal position, and the only damage was a crushed carb air box. Manual Brown was standing at the fuel pump with his back to the J-3. He said there was a loud crash. When he turned around, he found the wing was only several inches from his head. The cub's pilot had stopped into the prevailing wind, she just had some bad luck that day.
