Rittner Will somersaulted during the landing with his Questair Venture #6 suffered major damage and was written off.

However the day after I took this photo, I saw one of these Ventures crash just pass the home pylon. The pilot, Tommy Rose was killed. The story I heard was that he flew through the wake of another plane and his tail failed. It when in at about 30 degrees over 200 mph.

The Venture was designed by Jim Griswold, an engineer with Piper Aircraft and embodied technology used in the Piper Malibu.
