1924 Cockle, S.1, G-EBKA, sn S.638

2 697 cc Blackburne V-twins. These engines would developed 30 hp at 4500 rpm, but is the direct drive installation they were limited to 2400 rpm or 16 hp. These engine was later replaced with a 32 hp geared Bristol Cherub II.

Initillay named Stellite. All metal construction, fabric covered wings and tail. Not a very good flyer. Retained by the Air Ministry for exposure test to obtain data on corrosion.
