Callair B-1A
Dec 28, 1967
Just after Christmas of 1967 my father, his partner Bill Singleton, one of there pilots and myself went to Afton, Wyomong to pick up three Callair B-1A's. Aero Commander had purched Callair, and we were to fly some of the last unsold Callairs to Altlanta. This trip ended up being a hell-of-a-mess. After departing Afton, we arrived at Raling Wy after dark. Only on of these crop dusters had landing lights, and it wasn't the one I was flying. When I touch down at Ralying, I drifter to the right a bit, unfortunlly they had only snow flowed the center third of the runway. I hit the snow and nose over, I was not going fast enough to flip all the way over. It came to rest on the nose and main gears. My father was landing behind me, He touched down and missed me, he never saw me, and he had no landing lights either.
